This song is dedicated to my dear wife Daniela.
On August 26th, 2025, we celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The first verse of the song describes how we met, and the second verse describes our wedding day.
Five years ago, I started typing the first lyric ideas into my smartphone and recording hummed melodies. After a few months, the arrangement was finished. Over the next few years, I listened to the playback repeatedly, sang along, and made adjustments.
Three months ago, I took the opportunity to present the song at a songwriting course with Paul Gallister. The feedback was very positive. I also incorporated a few minor changes based on ideas from other course participants.
